Web
Improvement
Devices list shows each unit's vehicle, from the VIN it reports
A new Vehicle column shows the year, make and model (for example 2025 Ford F-350) for units that report a VIN; click it to open the unit's Vehicle tab. You can also search the list by vehicle, and makes like BMW and GMC now show in capitals.
Web
Feature
Failed payment warnings, and billing accounts, charges and emails for Rangetel staff
If a monthly payment doesn't go through, the Billing page says so with links to pay the invoice or update the card, and Rangetel is told by email; nothing is switched off automatically. Super admins get a Billing accounts page with every customer's plans, upcoming and past charges and billed units, a Payment issues page to choose what happens, and can opt in to an email for every charge that goes through.
Web
Feature
Order trackers online and see your plans, upcoming charges and receipts on the new Billing page
Managers can order TrackIt units from Billing → Order units, pay for the device by card and have the monthly plan start 14 days later, once the unit is programmed and shipped. The Billing page lists every unit and the plan it is billed on, upcoming charges, past payments with receipts and invoices, and a link to update the card.
Web
Feature
Products and pricing are managed in the app: discount codes, customer prices and private products
Super admins edit the products and prices shown on the website, create discount codes, set a customer's own prices, and make products that only one customer sees or that open from a private link. Paid orders appear under Orders, where units are picked from stock and the order is marked shipped.
Web
Feature
Street addresses on trips and stops reports
Tick Include street addresses on the Trips or Stops report to see where each trip started and ended and where each stop was. It takes longer the first time; your geofences and places show by name, addresses found are remembered, and emailed reports look them all up before sending.
Web
Feature
Group reports by truck or by day, with subtotals, on screen, in PDF and in CSV
Trips, stops, overspeed, geofence visits, temperature and mileage by province can now be shown by unit (each truck as a heading with its rows and a subtotal underneath), by day, or as one list. The PDF and CSV keep the same grouping.
Web
Feature
Driver behaviour (RAG) report
The red, amber and green driver report from the old system is back: per 100 km it adds up overspeed time, harsh acceleration, harsh braking and harsh turns, with the same thresholds (green under 2, amber 2 to 5, red over 5), worst drivers first.
Web
Feature
Odometer and mileage report
Shows each unit's odometer at the start and end of the period and the distance between, plus the vehicle's own odometer where it reports one. Choose totals per unit or day by day.
Web
Feature
Save reports and run them again with one click
Save any report with its units, period and grouping, and run it again from Saved reports whenever you need it. Emailing it on a schedule is now optional.
Web
Fix
Alert emails no longer fail now and then, and never hold up the phone notification
Occasionally an alert or welcome email failed because the mail server had dropped an idle connection. The connection is now checked and renewed before sending, a failed email is retried once, and a failure can no longer stop the phone notification or text that follows it.
Web
Fix
The 90-day safety scorecard loads again, and long reports include every day
The safety scorecard in the phone app could fail to load over 90 days for fleets with busy trucks. It now loads, and long reports on busy trucks no longer leave out their most recent days.
Web
Feature
Unregistered devices: see units that report in but are not set up
A new super-admin page lists units that try to report to the tracking server without being set up in Rangetel, with their IMEI, protocol, address, attempts and when they were seen, checked every five minutes. Real-looking trackers are kept apart from internet scanners, and Add unit opens the new-unit form with the IMEI filled in.
Web
Improvement
Login history now includes phone app sign-ins
Signing in on the Rangetel phone app, and failed attempts, now appear in Login history marked App, with the app version, iOS or Android version and phone model. New Website and Phone app filters show one or the other.
Web
Feature
Permission presets when adding people
Save the permissions you tick for a person as a named preset, such as Techs, and pick it the next time to tick the same boxes. One preset can be the default that new people start from. Presets are shared with the other people who manage your company's account.
Web
Improvement
Saved reports have their own permissions and stay private
Reports permissions now include Create, Edit and Delete for saved, scheduled reports, alongside View for running and downloading them. Each person's saved reports are visible only to them. Everyone who could see reports keeps the ability to save them.
Mobile app 2.0.16 (mobile only)
Feature
Alert notifications on Android
Android phones now receive alert notifications like iPhones do: the app asks for permission after you sign in, and alerts with "Phone app (push)" turned on arrive as notifications. Tapping one opens that unit; SOS and towing alerts use a louder channel. Install this version over the previous test version.
Mobile app 2.0.15 (mobile only)
Fix
Opening a unit from an alert, and Follow, zoom the map in on it
Tapping an alert notification as the app starts now zooms the map to that unit once its position has loaded, instead of leaving the map where it was. Follow zooms in on the unit first, then keeps it centred as it moves, so it no longer stays zoomed out where the unit can't be seen.
Web
Fix
Overview: 'Needs attention' only flags units silent for over 3 days, and its Map link opens that unit
A unit parked for a few hours no longer shows as offline in Needs attention; it now means no report for over 3 days, the same as Offline on the live map, and says how long. Its Map link opens the map on that unit instead of whichever unit was first in the list.
Web
Improvement
Clearer instructions when drawing geofences and adding points of interest
The drawing instructions are now a larger card at the top of the map with step-by-step wording, Circle and Shape buttons, Finish and Cancel, so they no longer blend in with the unit panel at the bottom, which closes while you draw.
Web
Improvement
Easier to create groups on the Devices page
A New group button sits in the Devices header, and New group is the first choice in every group drop-down. Creating a group from a unit's row puts that unit in it; with units ticked, they all go in.
Web
Improvement
Speed limits now cover British Columbia and Manitoba, refreshed every three months
Posted speed limits for overspeed alerts, the map and reports now cover British Columbia and Manitoba as well as Alberta and Saskatchewan, and the road data is refreshed from OpenStreetMap every quarter. Roads with no posted limit use each province's own default, such as 80 km/h outside towns in British Columbia and 90 km/h on rural Manitoba roads.
Web
Improvement
History loads much faster on the website, has a 1 hour option and folds away like the live map
A week of history now opens in about a second instead of several, and zooming the graph is instant. There is a 1 hr quick range, the history panel folds into a small History button with the arrow at its top (like the Fleet card on the live map), and a Graph & playback button brings the graph back after closing it.
Web
Feature
Put units in your groups from the Devices page
The Devices page has a Group column to change each unit's group, a filter to show one group or units not in a group, and tick boxes to move several units into a group at once, including a new one. Groups stay personal: they change only your own view.
Web
Fix
Geofences drawn by Rangetel staff now watch every unit, and new geofences no longer alert for units already inside
Geofences created by Rangetel staff for all units were not being checked against any unit, so their alerts never fired. A geofence that is new to a unit, because it was just drawn or widened to more units, now quietly notes the units already parked inside it instead of reporting each one as entering.
Web
Improvement
Running time is now a suggested sensor on Teltonika units
Teltonika units that report how long the engine has been running since it was started now get a Running time sensor in Add suggested, shown in minutes.
Web
Improvement
Sensors page lists every value a tracker sent in the last 7 days, with what each one means
The raw values list now includes values the tracker only sends some of the time, such as engine readings while driving, with when each was last seen. Hover a value to see what it is and its units; Teltonika IO numbers and coded values such as network type or sleep mode are spelled out. Sensor readings and suggestions also use the last reported value while a vehicle is parked.
Web
Feature
See who has access to each unit on the Devices page
The Devices page has a new Who has access column listing everyone who can see each unit, marked as manager, all units or assigned. Rangetel staff also see a Super Admins tag first, since staff can see every unit.
Web
Improvement
Vehicle-changed and engine fault code alerts now carry the vehicle details and ignore false codes
A vehicle-changed alert now shows the new vehicle, its VIN and engine, the vehicle it was in before, and the plate. An engine fault code alert names the code, what it means, the other active codes and the vehicle. A code that flickers off and back on within a day no longer alerts twice, and codes a tracker sends while the engine reports none stored, or partial VIN reads, are ignored.
Web
Feature
Generate a password and email new people their sign-in details
When adding or editing someone on the Accounts page, Generate creates a strong password, and ticking Email sign-in details sends them a Rangetel welcome email with the sign-in link and a temporary password. They choose their own password the first time they sign in.

Mobile app 2.0.14 (mobile only)
Fix
Drawing a geofence: the controls sit above the panel instead of under the clock
While drawing a geofence or placing a point of interest, the Cancel, Undo and Next card now sits at the bottom of the map, just above the panel, instead of at the very top where the clock and the settings button covered it. The Offline notice no longer appears for a single slow refresh while live updates are working.
Mobile app 2.0.13 (mobile only)
Improvement
Suspended units and accounts, Delete my account, alerts and geofences for whole groups
Suspended units show greyed out and can't be opened. If your company's account is suspended or your sign-in is disabled, the app signs you out and says why. Settings has Delete my account (managers can ask to delete the whole company), links to the Privacy Policy and Terms, and Support. If your password was set for you, a banner asks you to choose your own on the website. Alerts can follow whole groups, including units added later, and each geofence can watch all units, chosen groups or chosen units.
Web
Feature
Our own Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Cookie Notice and data deletion page
Rangetel's legal pages now live on our own website instead of a third-party service, written for Canada, the United States and Europe, with all data stored in Canada. They are linked from every page footer, the sign-in page and the quote form.
Web
Security
A bot check on sign-in, password reset and the quote form
When switched on, a quick and usually invisible check stops automated sign-in attempts, fake password resets and spam quote requests. The phone app's sign-in is not affected.
Web
Improvement
The website and platform no longer load fonts from Google
Our typeface is now served from our own servers, so visiting Rangetel sends nothing to Google and pages load a little faster.
Web
Feature
Customer accounts with several managers, and units that can be suspended
People and units now belong to a company account, and an account can have more than one manager; every manager sees the whole fleet and its people, and a manager can add a co-manager. A suspended unit stays on the map list and the Devices page, greyed out, but shows no position, history, reports or alerts until it is reactivated.
Web
Feature
Super admins: Devices & access and Customer accounts pages
Two new pages for Rangetel staff. Devices & access lists every unit with its account, its status and exactly who can see it, with suspend, reactivate, retire and move buttons that record who did it and why. Customer accounts lists each company with its managers and units, and can suspend or reactivate a whole account.
Web
Security
Disabled people and suspended accounts can no longer sign in to the website
The website now refuses to sign in a person who has been disabled, matching the phone app, and anyone whose company account is suspended. People already signed in are signed out on their next click.
Web
Fix
Stopped, idling and offline alerts set on a group now cover the units in that group
Duration alerts aimed at a group of units were only checking units picked one by one. They now cover every unit in the group, including ones added later.
Web
Feature
A new public website: platform, solutions, hardware, pricing and a quote form
Visitors who are not signed in now see the new Rangetel website instead of the sign-in page, with pages for the platform, each kind of fleet, the TrackIt hardware and pricing. The quote form emails the sales inbox directly. Signed-in customers still land on their Overview.
Web
Fix
The Overview no longer shows a negative distance after an odometer reset
When a tracker was reinstalled or its odometer reset, Distance today and the daily digest could show a negative number. Those units now count as zero for the day.

Web
Fix
You no longer see other people's geofence and alert events
Geofences and alert rules are personal, so the events they produce now are too: another user's "Left House" no longer shows in your events list, on a unit's card, on the Overview, in the daily digest or in the geofence visits report, on the website or in the app. Plain unit events such as ignition, movement and posted-limit overspeed are unchanged. A rule set to "any geofence" now means any of your own.
Web
Feature
Alerts and geofences can cover a whole group
When you pick which units an alert or a geofence applies to, you can now tick whole groups as well as single units. Groups are followed live, so a truck you add to the group later is covered automatically. Each geofence shows which units it watches on the Places page, where you can change it; new geofences drawn on the map can be limited to groups right away.
Mobile app 2.0.12 (mobile only)
Improvement
Choose what the overview covers, a scorecard for one group, and the keyboard no longer hides the name box
Preferences → Overview lets you point the card at all units, chosen groups or chosen units, and switch the Needs attention list off; the card says what it is showing. From a unit, the scorecard opens on that unit's group (named at the top) with a Show all units link, and you can switch groups there. The pop-up boxes for naming a group or a driver now move up above the keyboard.
Mobile app 2.0.11 (mobile only)
Feature
Create groups, move units between them, and pick a group when setting up an alert
Settings → Manage → Groups lets you add a group, rename or delete it, and tick the units that belong in it. A unit's page has a Group row to move just that unit. When an alert is for some units only, you can now pick a whole group instead of ticking units one by one. Groups are yours alone, as on the website, and a unit sits in one of your groups at a time.
Mobile app 2.0.10 (mobile only)
Improvement
Sensors back at the top of a unit's page; Today and Vehicle fold up; the chosen period lights up
On a unit's page the sensors are listed first again, straight from the live data. Today's trips and the Vehicle details are folded to one line each with an arrow to open them. In History and Reports the period you picked (Last hour, Today, …) now shows as a solid blue button so you can see which one is on; choosing your own dates clears it.
Mobile app 2.0.9 (mobile only)
Fix
Fix for a crash while dragging the slide-up panel
A crash report from an iPhone showed the app closing during a drag of the slide-up panel, inside the animation library. That library and its helper are updated to their latest fixes.
Mobile app 2.0.8 (mobile only)
Fix
No more crash on sign-in for some accounts, and a recovery screen instead of a dead app
An account whose timezone the phone's formatter does not accept crashed the app the moment it drew a time, right after signing in. Those times now fall back to the phone's own timezone. If anything else goes wrong, the app shows what happened with Try again and Sign out buttons instead of closing.
Mobile app 2.0.7 (mobile only)
Fix
Geofence alerts ask which geofence they are for
A new geofence alert used to apply to every geofence unless you opened the picker, so three rules named after three places all fired when a vehicle left the house. The editor now asks you to pick the geofences (shown by name) or choose "All my geofences" on purpose, and won't save until you have. Existing rules are unchanged: open each one and pick its geofence.
The app opens with an overview: how many units are moving, stopped, off or offline, distance today, and what needs attention. A unit's page shows today's trips and stops as a timeline, with a safety score and grade over the last 30 days; Settings → Manage → Safety ranks the whole fleet with a trend. History playback sums up time over the limit and the worst case. A daily digest notification at a time you choose, quiet hours for alerts (SOS and towing still come through), and tap actions on notifications to open the map or call the driver. The app remembers the last positions so the map draws at once, and shows when it is offline. Also: dark map, Face ID or fingerprint lock, a forgot-password link, and a tablet layout.
Web
Fix
Alert rules are per user: you see only the rules you created
Managers and super admins used to see other accounts' alert rules on the Alerts page. Everyone now sees and edits only their own rules, on the website and in the phone app alike. To look at a user's rules, sign in as that user.
